I am so excited to post this blog!!!! Where to begin? Monica & JC met online – which I think is totally awesome. (http://www.match.com rocks!) When we met they had only been together for 1 year – but you can tell that it was a match made in heaven! JC is a huge fan of cycling (which we incorporated into their engagement session) and Monica is a super talented & creative artist – you’ll see all her amazing wedding details she did for the wedding – including the cake toppers! (http://www.elyorchids.com/) JC porposed in the keys on the 7 mile bridge – super romantic guy and I love that! I thought about doing the engagement session down in the keys but we decided on a more vintage feel and went with the redlands area… we were soooo lucky to have found this super cool sunflower field – which is Monica’s fav. flower! We had a blast that day and the pictures show it. (see pics here)
After shooting their engagement session and seeing the beginning of the wedding planning coming together… I knew this wedding would be stunning. The wedding was located in Monica’s parents backyard down in the Redlands of Miami Fl. The have lots of land, an avocado field, and this other really cool fruit (not sure what its called haha) Monica & JC’s Family were extremely hands on! Monica’s dad, JC , and bro-in-law cut all the logs for the center pieces, cake stand, cupcake stands, etc. Her aunt and uncle did the flower centerpieces. Her cousin along with the boys built the dance floor. JC’s parents and my mom worked on the horseshoes. They are a very lucky couple and truly loved by there family & friends. Her sister went above and beyond with all her help with so many details and also all of the desserts!
When Paul (my awesome 2nd shooter) and I arrived we were both blown away with the setup… it was truly a photographers dream wedding! Every little detail was carefully thought out… from the location of the reception to the babys breath coming out of the vintage dresser drawers…to the min. detail of her grandmothers pearl earring as the center piece of the flower on the cake. They both completely blow me away! Thank you both for choosing Blackshaw Photography (me – hehe) to be the one to capture this perfect day! You both are very dear to me and I wish you so much happiness. I cant wait to hangout and shoot together! xo B
